Individual Mind Matters

Catherine Jones
First Class BA (Hons), MBACP, MNCS (Accred), PGCE (Post Graduate)

Life experiences has informed my own Counselling path, which has been significantly poignant when I came to a juncture with a realisation it was time to fulfil a passion to help those who are experiencing a crisis and/or trauma...and also to combine my industry skills to collaborate and add value to other counsellors. My experiences into the counselling arena has undoubtedly been similar to most; finding my way through all of the twists and turns. Thus, achieving greater self-awareness of a unique self and building competencies through study and extensive clinical practice.

Supervision takes the shape from a Humanistic modality underpinned my a Person-Centred approach; integrating a theoretical framework of supervisory principles, concepts and interventions.
Supervision on the basis of a one to one and groups is characterised by a fundamental focus of collaboration which focuses on aspects of continual professional development (CPD); inclusive of being Intent in providing ethical guidance (BACP) with the aim to encourage and empower creative exploration to provide beneficence; safe-guarding both the Client and the Therapist. Industry qualifications to-date include a First Class BA (Hons) Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy. This is in addition to a Humanistic Supervision qualification which compliments my role as a qualified Counselling Lecturer with a Postgraduate qualification in teaching and education.
